Mayan Art Found

It was actually found a few years ago, but it was recently dated at around the year 150!! This find shows the Maya of the time were much more advanced artisticly the previously thought. Oldest Known Maya Painting Found in Guatemala.

Check this artist rendering from the last article. It shows a cutaway of the pyramid. Since the maya built new temples on top of old, there are usually well preserved temples underneath the rubble left on the outside.
