Swelled by downpours out West, the Missouri River will rise quickly this week and may get within a few feet of the historic flood crests of 1993.Linky Van Der Link
The river fell Monday at St. Charles, but is expected to begin rising today. The National Weather Service projects it to pass flood stage there on Thursday and top out next Monday as high as 36.8 feet on the gauge -- nearly 12 feet over flood and not quite three feet short of the record.
